As early as 1986 I was approached whilst working on the radio, if I would like to cast for a weekly pop TV broadcast. This was my first experience in a television studio and what I didn´t like about it was, I had to stand in a certain postion, look in a certain camera and even say certain words! There was not much room left for adlibing and I wasn´t really too sad when I found out they choose someone else. But what I was happy with was that I was second favourite!
I was happy on radio. I had a lot of freedom. Could play the music I wanted and say more or less what I wanted and had my fans who tuned in to listen to my shows. TV was almost forgotten until the German car manufacturer Audi contacted me a couple of years ago. They wanted someone with my profile; a typical Audi driver and English native speaker. So what is typical Audi? Male mid fourties, modern and professional looking, possibly architect, engineer or manager.
This is where I was able to tick all the boxes and Audi choose me as their presenter for a regular live interactive TV programme which was broadcast from their own studios in Ingolstadt and could be watched all over the world. Being interactive it had to be live and this is what I love! Adrenalin, countdown and red light on-air!
So if you are looking for a TV presenter who like Audi, should look serious but not conservative, not too young and not too old, and who can speak German just as well as he can English then I could be your man!
